Alexa Stathakis
For the love of creation.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved to draw. I doodled in the margins of every one of my school books.
My mother is an artist, and some of my fondest memories are of our house smelling of paint and of watching the beautiful work take shape in her hands. She inspired me, and I began to paint myself.
What keeps me creating is simply the love of doing it: the slow hours of looking closely, and the moment a surface on canvas starts to feel real enough to touch.
